This Thursday - Yappy Hour at Tijuana Flats, Fort Walton Beach

Tijuana Flats Burrito Co. presents Yappy Hour benefiting Panhandle Animal Welfare Services. Affectionately known as P.A.W.S., this private, non-profit organization is dedicated to the welfare of animals.

Created for owners and their canines to mix and mingle with other locals and their dogs,

Tijuana Flats’ Yappy Hour is the dog-loving tradition in Fort Walton Beach.

Tijuana Flats is proud to donate 10% of their evening sales to P.A.W.S. The donation goes to the care of the shelter’s animals.

During Yappy Hour, held from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., Ron Byrd will be performing acoustic cover songs as well as originals. Biscuits and water are provided for the dogs. Leash holders can expect the same fun atmosphere that Tijuana Flats is known for along with fresh Tex-Mex, cheap beer, and excellent guest service.

P.A.W.S. is bringing adorable, adoptable dogs for guests to meet and hopefully add to their families. Tijuana Flats’ co-owner, Brian Burger, says, “We adopted our dogs and so should you.”

“We’ve revamped Yappy Hour this year by having live music weekly!“ said Tijuana Flats’ co-owner, Jenna Leigh Caldwell. “We’ve also started taking orders at the table so our guests can stay seated with their dogs. My hope is the neighborhood crowd takes a walk up to the Flats, eats a nice meal, and enjoys spending the evening with the family, dogs included.”

About P.A.W.S.: The Humane Society and Adoption Center at P.A.W.S. offers animal care and adoptions, microchip implants, animal rescue, lost and found services, adopt-a-teacher school program, humane education, pet cremation services, 24-hour emergency services, pet foster care, First Strike campaign, PAWS in Motion outreach program, volunteer opportunities, pet therapy, spay/neuter clinic, and low cost veterinary care for low-income residents.
